What's it all about?
As our wonderful REACH participants get older and leave school, REACH need to come up with creative new ways to engage and keep in touch with our participants outside of the school environment. We know that young people are the real experts to talk to when looking for ways to make our research interesting and engaging for young people and the general public. With that in mind, we’ve developed the exciting new REACH Research Champions role and are looking to recruit 12 young people, aged 16-18, who have taken part in REACH before, to advise and guide us through this important next phase of the study!
REACH have been given valuable advice and guidance from our Young Persons Advisory Group (YPAG) at every stage of the project so far. Our REACH Research Champions will join our YPAG and continue to advise us on key research decisions and activities (e.g. questionnaire content and wording, planning workshops, events and activities, website and social media content etc.) but would also help us stay in contact and share information with REACH participants and other young people. This will help us make strong, long lasting relationships with the young people who have been involved in the project so far. |
What's involved?
As a REACH Research Champion you would:
1. Join our Young Person’s Advisory Group (YPAG). This is a group of young people who meet with us regularly (around 3 times a year) to advise us on how we can improve REACH, so that we can answer the questions that are most important for young people. Each meeting lasts around 2 hours
