Black Thrive Lambeth was established in 2016 to address the inequalities that negatively impact the mental health and wellbeing of Black people in Lambeth. They work to reduce inequalities in this borough and initiate the change required for Black residents to thrive. Black Thrive conducted a workshop around the mental health inequalities within Black communities and young people were also able to get involved in an insightful workshop about police stop and search. It was powerful to see young people engaging in conversations and sharing their opinions about these police powers, giving a further insight into the ways to better improve police and community relationships.
